Maar het is een Franse film dus het gaat ook over iets anders. De titel slaat op de studentenwijk in Parijs, op de linkeroever, waar het verhaal zich&nbsp;afspeelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De hoofdrolspelers zijn millennials. Ze lijken stuk voor stuk een vrijgevochten leven te leiden. Lol maken, beetje rondneuken, dat soort dingen. Maar in werkelijkheid zijn ze allemaal op zichzelf aangewezen. Ze doen werk dat ver onder het niveau van hun opleiding en ambities ligt. Een verdient de kost als camgirl, een ander als serveerster of klust bij als makelaar. Voor zover er huizen beschikbaar zijn want er is woningnood. Ze doen of het allemaal niet uitmaakt, dat ze het niets kan schelen als ze maar vrij zijn maar gaandeweg wordt duidelijk dat ze eigenlijk helemaal niets hebben. Geen huis, geen werk, geen vrienden, geen liefde. Ze slijten hun dagen wachtend tot de bezittende generatie van boomers en X-ers sterft en ze de boel kunnen&nbsp;erven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dit is niet Emily in Paris, de suikerzoete Netflix-serie waar zoveel over te doen was. Dit is het echte Parijs.
